PRIVACY POLICY

BakeABox does not store (or have access to) any payment information such as credit card numbers or PayPal accounts, and will NEVER rent, sell, or share your information in ANY way with ANYONE.  We hate spam and telemarketers as much as you do!  

 

PAYMENT FAQ:

What types of payment ot you accept?

We currently accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express & PayPal

If you are paying with a credit card, your zipcode and billing address MUST match the address that you have for your credit card. This is the number one reason that cards are denied via our online store. Your shipping address can be different, however.

If you are still having issues with payment, please email us at sales@bakeabox.com and we can try and remedy the issue or help find the cause of the error.

 

ERRORS DURING CHECKOUT

Shipping Quote Errors

We believe we have solved the error some customers were receiving when trying to obtain a UPS shipping quote for some orders. However, very large orders (over 150 pounds) will still need to be quoted via email. To save our customers money on shipping, our website quotes your order as if we are shipping everything in one box (even if we aren't).  This can result in an error on very large orders because UPS has a weight limit of 150 lbs. per box. If you are placing a very large order and are receiving a "some items cannot be shipped to your location" error, this is why.  In order to avoid this issue, you may need to divide your items into 2 separate orders.  Please email us at sales@bakeabox.com anytime if you are receiving shipping errors unrelated to weight. Although this can be inconvenient, it saves our customers 20%-30% on shipping.  We apologize for any inconvenience and hope to eventually find a solution that serves everyone's needs.

If you are still receiving an error but aren't placing a large order, please double check your address, state and zip code.  Sometimes simply transposing a couple of numbers is enough for it to give an error.

 

Payment Errors

There are a couple of reasons you could be receiving an error during payment:

Aside from double checking that all of your info is correct (exp. date, numbers, cvv code), please also check the following:

-For security reasons, the name and zip code you have listed in your billing address MUST match the zip code you have listed with your credit card company.  

-You DO NOT need spaces in between the credit card numbers (1111 1111 1111 1111), this will cause an error.

-Please check that you are using the correct cvv code on the back of your card (some have more than one number on the back).

If you are still getting an error, please email us at sales@bakeabox.com and we will try and remedy the issue.

SHIPPING FAQ:

Can you ship my order out immediately, I need them ASAP!?

We make every effort to accomodate this situation, and we understand that unexpected needs can arise, however, it is very difficult for us to get orders the same day if they are placed after we have already sent that days orders to the warehouse for packing, although it happens,  we don't guarantee it.  We try our best to be fair to everyone!  If you need your boxes faster than our normal processing and shipping time, please email us via our contact page and we can get you a quote for UPS Next Day or 2nd Day Shipping.  Please note these options are expensive, routinely costing between 30$ (for light packages going 2nd Day) to over 100$ (for Next Day Air).

OTHER FREQUENT QUESTIONS

Do you offer wholesale pricing?

Because we manufacture the boxes ourselves, our products technically are "wholesale".  However, if you are interested in purchasing large quantities (over 500$) on a monthly basis, please contact us.  We ask that you email us (sales@bakeabox.com) with an approximate quantity and frequency of purchase.  We'll look it over and see if we can work something out. 
 

What makes your boxes better?  Are they sturdy?

Our bakery boxes are made from premium materials, and you will see the difference the first time you use them.  Besides quality, the biggest difference you will see in our boxes is the design.  There is no folding required!  BakeABox brand boxes are shipped ready to use, so all you have to do is open the box and fill it with your delicious baked goods.  

Are your boxes safe for food contact?

Yes, we only buy materials that are safe for food contact. (Not all box manufacturers do!) This is why we do not offer a "recycled paper" option for our boxes. 

How can you sell boxes at such a low price?

We make all of our boxes here ourselves, and because there is no middle man to mark up the price, we keep your cost down.  Also, we are a very small family business, and because we have less overhead than larger corporations, our prices can stay small, too.

Will you be adding more sizes in the future?

We are always adding to our product line, and have plans to add all of the most popular sizes to our online store.  Please check back if you don't see the sizes you need.  You can also check our facebook page (facebook.com/bakeaboxdotcom) for updates.

Do you offer free shipping?

We realize that other companies offer this, but usually they make up the cost somewhere else, sometimes by raising their prices.  We prefer to be more transparent about where your money is going.  We don't mark up the cost of shipping, all quotes come directly from our shipping provider, UPS.  We ask that our customers check the total price they are paying, usually, even with shipping, our prices are still lower than other sites that offer "free shipping".

Is your site secure?

Yes, we use SecureNet as our credit card processor, and we never see, have access to, or store your credit card number - all payment processing is entrusted to them. In addition, all data is encrypted during transmission, so you can be sure that your information is safe. You should also know that we at BakeABox.com will NEVER sell your email address, name, phone number, etc., to ANYONE. We hate spam as much as you do.  Email addresses and contact information is used solely by BakeABox.com.

You guys are so totally awesome that I want emails from you, too!  Do you have a newsletter?

Why yes, we do!  Thanks for asking!  To subscribe, simply fill in your name and email address in the box on the left side of the page.  We usually send out newsletters monthly, and try to get them out the second week of each month.  We've been known to list top secret discount codes and contests in these newsletters, so make sure you read them quick!

What is a "Wish List"?

A wish list allows our customers to create a list of products they would like to buy in the future, the same as if you were writing out a grocery list at home. To use, sign into your account and click "wish lists" at the top of the page, then click "create a wishlist now". After creating a name for your list, check the box if you would like to share your list with other people. Then simply browse through our products, and when you find one you want to add to your list, click "add to wishlist" on the left side of the page. You can add as many or as few products as you want. That's it. Then when you are ready to buy, click on wish lists again at the top of the page and then on the items in your list that you want. Then proceed as you would when shopping normally.
